The High Country Conservation Center welcomes Slifer Smith and Frampton to the Summit Sustainable Business Program. The Summit Sustainable Business Program supports, facilitates and encourages environmentally and socially responsible choices in our business community. We would like to recognize Slifer Smith and Frampton for their energy saving and waste reduction efforts.

The High Country Conservation Center (HCCC) is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to providing practical solutions for waste reduction and resource conservation that are specific and relevant to our mountain community. We are pleased to highlight Slifer Smith and Frampton’s sustainable business practices. Thank you for closing the loop through recycling and purchasing recycled content office supplies.

Slifer Smith and Framption’s small, earth-friendly steps such as using “sleep mode” on the copier, replacing incandescent light bulbs with energy efficient halogen bulbs, reusable mugs, and use of water coolers instead of single-use water bottles add up to substantial steps towards a sustainable Summit. We also appreciate your efforts in zero waste events!

Not only do your environmental efforts make a difference in our community, they benefit your business as well. According to the 2007 Cone Consumer Environmental Survey, 91% of Americans say they have a more positive image of a company that’s environmentally responsible. In the survey, 85% of respondents say they would switch to another company’s products or services because of negative practices. Consumers say they do want to address environmental issues with products and services that: reduce pollution; represent a more eco-friendly design; are packaged more efficiently; support environmental causes; and communicate their efforts to customers.

The High Country Conservation Center is thrilled to have Slifer Smith and Frampton join the Summit Sustainable Business Program.
